Helpful documents and important information for alumni members

Alumni Resources

As was once said by Francis W. Shepardson, Denison 1882/Brown 1883, “Once a Beta, Always a Beta, Everywhere a Beta.” Whether you’re a young alumnus, Fraternal 25 or one of Beta’s revered “Silver Grays,” your membership in the Fraternity continues long after graduation. Several roles and resources are available to alumni to promote that lifelong commitment to the brotherhood.

How to Get Involved and Reconnect with Beta Theta Pi

Volunteer

Beta Theta Pi has more than 1,000 alumni and Friends of Beta leading its undergraduate chapters to new heights. The Fraternity is always seeking volunteers who are committed to building men of principle for a principled life directly with chapters or at General Fraternity events.

We’d love to chat with you if you’re interested in learning more about these incredible opportunities! Send an email to Chief Volunteer Services Officer Erin McHale or call the Administrative Office at 800.800.BETA.

Join an Alumni Association

Alumni associations serve as an opportunity to begin or renew relationships with other Betas in your chapter or in a geographic region. These groups also serve to provide support and guidance to nearby chapters and give back to the local community.

A number of resources specifically created for alumni associations. Contact Associate Director of Advancement Zane David Carlson, Knox ’16, or call the Administrative Office at 800.800.BETA for more information.

Engage With a House Corporation

For many, memories made while living in the Beta house are among the most cherished of their collegiate fraternity experience. Many chapters, even those that don’t currently live in a chapter home, have established house corporations for those interested in assisting with the continued development and improvement of chapter housing.

If you’re interested in learning more about chapters in need of housing assistance, contact Associate Director of Housing Colin Close, Minnesota ’13, or call the Administrative Office at 800.800.BETA.

Give to the Beta Foundation

The Beta Theta Pi Foundation raises and collects funds that are then granted back to the Fraternity to assist its mission of developing men of principle for a principled life. The Beta Theta Pi Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization which means that all gifts and donations are 100% tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.

You can make a difference by supporting the Beta Foundation. Click here to learn how you can give to the Beta Foundation or call 800.800.BETA and ask to speak to a member of the Beta Foundation staff.

Attend an Event

The Fraternity manages an online calendar of events, many of which are either hosted by the General Fraternity or are user-submitted by chapters or alumni associations. If you’re not looking for a commitment but want to join brothers from across North America, visit the calendar for details and contact information.

Alumni Association Directory

There are more than 100 alumni associations across North America intended for alumni to reconnect with brothers from their home chapters or who live in the same geographic area. The Alumni Association Directory lists currently established associations and their main points of contact, should you want to join them for a future event.

Alumni Association Handbook

For those interested in establishing an alumni association or those associations that need guidance on maintaining their certification, connecting with local Betas or creating a calendar of events, the Fraternity has created the Alumni Association Handbook.
If you have a question that isn’t addressed in the handbook, contact Associate Director of Advancement Zane David Carlson, Knox ’16, or call the Administrative Office at 800.800.BETA.
